In fact I think The Secret is an indictment of our time – together with the plethora of other falsities we are falling for such as David Icke’s lizard conspiracy, or the mangled truth of Zeitgeist, that is gaining increasing popular appeal. And I’m not making these claims from a Christian perspective as I’m in fact agnostic.

To follow how such marketer’s (propagandists/hypnotists) operate you need to follow the ideology of Gustav Le Bon’s The Crowd: A Study of the popular mind, an intellectual who informed Hitler’s ideology.

I explored these issues in a book titled The Scourge of our Time: The decline of Critical Thinking in the Age of The Secret, and predicted that The Secret’s Psychosis would result in an economic collapse similar – if not worse – to the great depression (that is in October 2007). Note though that it is not necessarily The Secret that had caused the current crisis, but rather that it’s unprecedented proliferation is indicative of a greater social psychosis that allows fraudsters to manipulate with such impunity – that is in the stock market, religious institutions, business, politics, and society as a whole.
