In the 19th Century, folks immigrating to Texas, especially from Tennessee hung a sign or sometimes just painted the letters GTT for Gone To Texas on their doors or a fencepost. This is the GTT on Sunflower Chalice as I’ve already hung the sign on the house I sold here in Massachusetts and will hang one on my mother’s door this morning for anyone who comes looking for me. Zack and I will soon be off to the airport. The next post will be written from the Lone Star State.
