I am the editor of The Good News, a progressive Christian theological and spiritual journal published by the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship. You can access the online archives here for past issues. The Good News is an excellent resource for personal spiritual reading, group reflection, and gaining an understanding of Unitarian Universalist and progressive Christianity.
I am continually looking for submissions, including original art or photographs, sermons, essays, reflections, original poems and prayers, as well as reviews of movies, music, and books. Information regarding the current submission process is below.
The Good News, the journal of the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship, is seeking submissions for its Easter 2014 and its Pentecost 2014 issues. The Easter issue has a theme of spiritual renewal and the Pentecost issue has a theme of mission/living out one’s faith in world. A wide variety of writing from a progressive Christian perspective is needed, including prayers, poems, sermons, and essays, as well as book, movie, or music reviews. Submission guidelines may be found here. Email submissions to me, Rev. Tony Lorenzen, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All submissions should be less than 2000 words and sent in a plain text, MS Word, or Google Doc format along with author’s name (as you want it credited on your by-line), current city and state of residence, email and phone number. The deadline for both issues is March 1, 2014.
